This sequence of draped walls is a dialogue between the tensions of hard and soft, between digital and analogue and how things move through the world and take shape. The banners are optically draped but have been stiffened and hung — limiting the fabric’s natural tendency to relax its form. The patterning on the pieces suggests three relaxed brick walls that have been hyper-extended, flopping into shapes and curves that defy their material. The three brick walls interact and create space between each other, introducing folds and shadows that in turn create space and motion.
